Christmas Menu 2019

Christmas 2019 promises, as always, to be a wonderful time at both The Bridge and The Turtley Corn Mill! With our infamous decorations, fires roaring and full festive menu, it has got to be one of our favourite times of year.

Our Christmas menu below is for groups of 10 people or more, although we can also offer it for smaller groups on request. It will be available at both The Bridge, with its’ gorgeous views over the Marina and The Turtley Corn Mill. The menu will be available from November 25th 2019 until December 24th 2019 and we will ask for your meals to be pre-ordered at least 10 days in advance (don’t worry, we have a spreadsheet which you can download from here to make life that little bit easier for the organiser!).

Our full menu will also be available as normal during this time for other customers.


Classic prawn cocktail with apple, celery, mixed leaf salad and Marie Rose sauce

“Cheese ‘n’ ham” toasted crumpet, Serrano ham, fig, smoked mozzarella

Pressed chicken & ham hock with horseradish crème fraiche

Creamed goat’s cheese, mulled red wine pear and candied pecan salad

Tiger prawns wrapped in filo pastry dressed with sweet chili sauce and rocket salad

Main Courses

Free range turkey crown and leg meat, roast potatoes and traditional trimmings

Mixed seafood tagliatelle - salmon, scallops, prawn, cod - in a white wine & creamy sauce

Steak & Dartmoor ale pie served with creamy mash

Cajun spiced salmon fillet with soft noodles and a melon, lime & coriander salsa

Three Little Pigs, slow cooked belly pork, local pork sausage and a pork croquette served with wholegrain mashed potato

Christmas filo pastry parcel – sweet potato, leek, roasted chestnuts, soft goat’s cheese served with sticky red onion marmalade

The table will have bowls of steaming mixed vegetables to share


Christmas Knickerbocker Glory – Xmas pudding ice cream, cinnamon ice cream, toffee sauce, honeycomb and chopped nuts

Italian Christmas pudding cake – fruit studded panettone, mascarpone cream, chocolate chips, glace cherries and pistachios

Festive fruit salad with a brandy snap filled with cinnamon ice cream

Our well matured individual Christmas pudding with custard

Coconut pannacotta, an exotic fruit salsa and mango sorbet

Selection of West Country cheeses with biscuits, jelly, grapes and chutney

Two courses for £23.00 or three for £29.00
