Our Location
The setting of the Mill is idyllic; located in the beautiful and varied area of Avonwick, South Hams the original Mill is set in six acres of grounds bordered by the River Glazebrook, we even have our own small lake complete with an island, perfect for sunny days and idle wandering!
How to find us
Travelling Eastbound on the A38
Take the South Brent/Avonwick turning off the A38. Take the first right towards Avonwick (B3372) back under the A38. Bear Left, before you rejoin the A38 westbound, heading towards Totnes. We are about 100m on the left.
Travelling Westbound on the A38
Leave A38 at the South Brent exit and head towards South Brent itself. Continue on the B3372 though the village, back under the A38. Bear left, before you rejoin the A38 westbound, heading towards Totnes. We are about 100m on the left.
Our gardens and lakes
The Mill has a fantastic garden and lake area that can be enjoyed all year round. The garden and lake areas are, of course, for the enjoyment of our customers only and we would ask that you respect this by only consuming any food or drink purchased from us.
We serve food to the numbered tables closest to the building and would ask that you please avoid moving them so we can keep them in numerical order.
If you fancy walking off your lunch, or working up an appetite, then there is a little track running into a field at the top right hand corner of the car park – a great place to wear out the dogs (and/or kids!) before or after you come in for a meal.
It’s about a 15 minute walk around the field and alongside the river but bear in mind that it does get muddy so you may need your wellies.
Incidentally, you are welcome to enjoy your drinks around the lake and by the river, although we don’t serve food to those areas, the water is quite deep and these waterside areas are not supervised by us.
If the kids are with you you’ll need eyes in the back of your head!
